Once more ,Kolahstudio is Going to Make an international Free Art /Street Event in Tehran,IRAN.
It’s Yours, Take It! – IRAN-Tehran

What we need :
We need Art works on Cardboard,Carton,Canvas or any light material.
Size : maximum:50×50cms
What we Do:
We Gather all the art work ,sort it in groups or one group(depending on quantity of Works we may recieve)
Then we Hang them on public walls ,Invite people to take them home if they like them.So it is more than Affordable . For us this idea is perfect. they do not have lots of money to have an original New Art Piece in Their home.They appreciate it.
We take photographs of the process and selected images can be seen in the flickr pool of http://www.flickr.com/groups/itsyourstakeit . finally a selection of photos from all the event and Textual contents will be published in the Brainstorm Online magazine No.11 .

Spray 1387 -Spray art Exhibition-Tehran

With a great amount of visitors through the 6 days of the Show-spray1387- which was the second independant annual cellebration of spray art and young culture in IRAN, kolahstudio has Finished another step in Organizing Some underground Stuff Abusing the Mainstream official Gallery space to make some Noise and spread the word of Rebelion,Independant art and Cultural Activism.

WE are Not Doing politics but we care about Society and our youth.

With doing some unusual extra programs around Spray1387 Exhibition we had succeed showing a real part or our existance in the city +sharing our younger follower's products with the audience.

As an Alternative ,effective Media and Basement ,changing many aspects of youth life in Tehran and other big cities of IRAN KS has invited it's younger sister sites to join and share their experiences on young ,experimental litterature ,indie mag publishing and Music performance.

We are Glad that we could make it in IRAN with 100 % independance to promore younger Art experiments and advertising our culture agains official mainstreat culture.

We are Making the change By our ACTS not OUR Words.

Melbourne Stencil Festival 2008

The 2008 Stencil Festival will be held in Melbourne at the Yarra Sculpture Gallery in Vere St, Abbotsford, from 1 to 10 August. Highlights of the exhibition will be presented in Sydney at Pine St Creative Arts Centre from 1 - 31 October.

To celebrate Stencil Festivals 5th anniversary we will present an exhibition called Five Continents - Six Artists which features the following artists:
A1one (Iran - MiddleEast/Asia)
Klingatron (Scotland - Europe)
Daniel Melim (Brasil - South America)
Larry Cyr (USA - North America)
Kudzanai Chiurai (South Africa - Africa)
Ralf Kempken (Australia - Australia/Pacific)
As usual the Stencil Festival Group Show will present an ecclectic mix of artist from around the world. 30 artist have been chosen out of a large number of applicants. Selected artists have been invited to submit two works each.
As usual the festival presents a packed program including a film night, presenting the latest of street art related documentaries, a panel discussion ("Cans Up - You are Arrested" - introducing the new anti-graffiti laws), master classes, live spraying and charity auction.
Satellite events will be held at the Fitzroy Library, Artspace at J-Studios in North Fitzroy and FamousWhenDead Gallery in West Melbourne.
